Corteno Golgi
The Corteno Golgi hydroelectric power plant, in operation since August 2005, is a complex plant containing almost every technical contruction solution for hydroelectric plants: water-intake, an underground free-surface channel, a syphon, a tunnel entirely contructed out of rock, a holdinh tank, an underground and an above-ground penstock mounted on reinforced concrete saddles, put in place using a zip-line.
The power plant houses three turbines: a vertical Francis, a horizontal Francis, a 4 streams vertical Pelton.
The operation of the plant is fully automated, and is capable of adapting to the flow rate variations of the river, in order to maximize outputs.
